On 10th July 2010, Sushma, Arjun, Rishav and Ravi planted a memorial tree to remember Dad's visits with their family in New Zealand. He loved his visits there and the clean green environment of Auckland. The tree is a 'kahitekawa' which is a native of New Zealand and can live up to a 1000 years. It has been planted in a place called Cue Haven which is being converted from a farm into a nature reserve and a public trust for the future so that it can never be built upon. Hopefully, the tree will be there for visits from the family for as long as the coming generations in New Zealand remember their wonderful father/ grandfather/ great grandfather/......ancestor :) |
